About Diablo III - Blizzard MMO Game

Diablo III is an upcoming dark fantasy/horror-themed action role-playing game in development by Blizzard, making it the third installment in the Diablo franchise. The game, which features elements of the hack and slash and dungeon crawl genres, was first announced on June 28, 2008, at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris, France,and is slated for release in the second quarter of 2012.

Plot

The game takes place in Sanctuary, the dark fantasy world of the Diablo series. This world was saved twenty years prior by a handful of unnamed heroes in Diablo II, heroes who, having survived the onslaught brought by the armies of the Burning Hells, have gone mad from their ordeals. It is up to a new generation of heroes to face the forces of evil threatening the world of Sanctuary.

The Barbarian is a true warrior. Using pure physical force as a means to destroy his enemies, the Barbarian is the culmination of centuries of inter-clan warfare and wilderness survival. Crushing his enemies with pure might, the Barbarian exemplifies close-quarters combat and is an unequaled master of arms, able to wield massive weapons to destroy his foes.

The Demon Hunter is a ranged class that mixes deadly marksmanship abilities with acrobatic maneuvers and trap skills to fight the forces of Hell in a more tactical manner. Ranged abilities such as Molten Arrow and Mulitshot help the Demon Hunter slay her enemies from afar, while ingenious mechanical traps allow her to continue assaulting her foes from beyond their reach. To complete her arsenal, she incorporates powerful Shadow Magic - learned from her observations of the very monsters she aims to destroy - into her attacks.

The monks’ skin, the accounts said, was as hard as iron, impenetrable by the blade of any sword or by the point of any arrow, and their fists could break stone as easily as you or I would snap a twig. The Monk is a Holy warrior sent out from his Monastery to vanquish these demons. With the guidance from his 1,001 Gods, the Monk unleashes a barrage of Holy attacks upon the denizens of the Burning Hells. Along with this, the Monk also uses Runic magic to create Auras to both aid and defend not only himself but any ally fighting along with him. His training in the Monastery has also equipped the Monk with his most valuable weapons, his fists. Unleashing a barrage of combo attacks, the Monk releases his fury blow after blow erupting in a final blast.

The Witch Doctor is a ritualistic voodoo fighter. Hailing from the deep jungles of Sanctuary, the Witch Doctor practices his dark arts. Meditating to access the "Unformed Land" he calls upon the spirits of the past to strike fear and horror in his adversaries. He is even able to reanimate the dead in both human and inhuman bodies to command. Time in the jungle has also allowed this tribalistic warrior to use powders and elixirs in the form of fire and poison to unleash upon the demons. While never doing much of the actual fighting themselves, the Witch Doctor is a formidable foe against the demons that have invaded his home with the spiritual aid of others.

"Originally under the guidance of the Zann Esu mage clan, she was eventually handed over to the Vizjerei in the hopes that their strict and unbending discipline would break her anarchic spirit. Yet even the esteemed Vizjerei instructors were unable to rein her in. She was continually being caught seeking out dangerous and forbidden magics, heedless of the consequences to herself or anyone around her." - Abd al-Hazir

The Wizard is a rebellious caster whose skills have amazed and surpassed even the most elite mages. Originally hailing from Xiansai, the Wizard has made her way from school to school learning more and more. The Wizard mastered the elemental skills of most wizards with Hydra and Meteor spells at her disposal. Not content with these simple elemental spells, the Wizard ventured her learning into matters of the Arcane. Able to bend time and reality, the Wizard has proven her skills as a caster. Lastly, the Wizard has used her skills to conjure up swords and even a familiar to help her in her fight against the demons that now inhabit Sanctuary.
